Elopement in Jackson Square | Kelli & Chad tie the knot in New Orleans
Mike Lirette Photography, New Orleans La

Kelli and Chad chose to elope in Jackson Square (in the French Quarter) under the branches of a large oak tree. Following their ceremony the bride and groom and all of their guests proceeded to second line through the streets of the French Quarter. We parted ways at Pat O’Briens on Bourbon Street where they continued their party.

French Quarter Portraits | Brittany & Garrett

Brittany and Garrett stopped by NOLA for a quick weekend trip to get away from the Pittsburgh winter and chose to hire me for a little French Quarter Portrait Session.

We met for a morning portrait session in the French Quarter. It was a little rainy and a lot humid. It felt like walking through a cloud outside without the fog. That led to a bit of a cinematic feel that worked in our favor!

Leslie and Josh's French Quarter wedding had it all! Personalized details, incredible sunset second line, and a courtyard wedding reception party filled with dancing and laughter. I enjoyed photographing their wedding day and from all of the smiles in their photos, I'd say their friends and family had a blast along with the bride and groom.

The Chicory New Orleans Wedding | Good food + Good people = Great time

When you combine good food with good people at your wedding, you end up having a killer party.

Carly and Adriano threw quite the party. As soon as I walked into bridal prep I knew I was in for a fun wedding day. Snoop Dog jams playing on the iPhone, bridesmaids laughing it up, if anyone was nervous - it sure wasn't apparent in the bride's suite!
Their day continued on without a snag. The bride and groom's ceremony aisle was beautifully lit by candle light and backlit by the day's sunset.
We followed up their ceremony with a killer sunset, rooftop couple's session. Then quickly head back downstairs for an incredible seafood spread and dancing.
They ended their night with a second line from none other than Kinfolk Brass Band leading down the stairs and onto Fulton Street.

What a fun way to celebrate your wedding ceremony!
Have your very own parade through the streets of the French Quarter while people look on from their balconies and party right along with you.
They're kind of a 'must do' for any French Quarter wedding. It's a great way to travel from your ceremony location to your reception. - Or if your ceremony location IS your reception location and they need a few moments to reset the space, a second line around the block is the perfect way to spend that time!

Check out these tips for planning your French Quarter second line here.
Be sure to give Kinfolk Brass band a holler when selecting your band!
