Mike Lirette is a New Orleans based wedding photographer known for his elevated documentary style and instinctive ability to capture moments as they naturally unfold. With over 13 years of experience, Mike’s work blends emotional honesty with an artful, timeless aesthetic, creating imagery that feels both intimate and enduring.

Clients often describe him as a calming presence, equal parts photojournalist and storyteller, whose quiet intuition and deep respect for family, tradition, and connection are felt in every frame. His photographs reflect not just how the day looked, but how it felt.

Mike and his wife, Ali, were married at Il Mercato on Magazine Street, and their love for the city runs deep. When not photographing weddings, they can be found exploring City Park with their rescue pup Butter or learning the game of golf at Audubon Park. While he has photographed weddings across the United States, Mike remains deeply rooted in New Orleans, a city whose culture, warmth, and spirit continue to inspire his work.

A note from Mike :
In a time when our social feeds are filled with overly curated, false, generated media, I find myself drawn back to what is unaltered and real.

Photography, especially on a wedding day, reminds me that the most meaningful images are not about perfection. They are about presence, the human connection, the unscripted moments with your loved ones, and everyone gathering together to celebrate the moment that's in front of us.

My approach to wedding photography is to be present in those moments, authentically documenting them, preserving honest, real memories for you and your family.
