Where are you located?
Mike Lirette Photography is based in New Orleans, Louisiana. We specialize in documentary-style wedding photography throughout New Orleans and the surrounding Gulf Coast region.

What is elevated, documentary-style wedding photography?
A blend of the aesthetic of editorial wedding photography with the authenticity of candid storytelling. Our style is documentary in nature, focusing on unscripted, honest moments, and is elevated with a warm, film-inspired tone. The result is timeless, intentional wedding photography.

Does that mean you don’t photograph posed family and formal photos?
Not at all! We believe that family photos are incredibly important and always set aside time for them. Being that every family and wedding is unique, we don’t use any sort of standard list. Our approach is to send a questionnaire roughly 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding date that leaves space for you to enter which family groupings you’d like and that are most important to you. This allows us to create a list that is special to you and capture them quickly and efficiently.

Do you offer a second photographer?
Yes. All wedding collections that include 6 or more hours of coverage include a second photographer.

How long does it take to receive our wedding gallery?
Your full wedding gallery will be delivered within 6 weeks of your event. We use an easy-to-navigate online gallery system that’s perfect for sharing with friends and family. You’ll have the option to print your photos at the lab of your choice, or use the lab that we’ve curated and attached to your gallery. Either way, print your photos!

Do your collections include engagement sessions?
Yes. We offer complimentary New Orleans engagement sessions with all wedding collections of 6 or more hours. For destination sessions outside Louisiana, custom options are available.

Do you offer wedding albums?
Absolutely. We create custom, archival-quality wedding albums designed with your input and guided by one of our in-house designers. Our heirloom albums are built to preserve your story for generations.

How do we book you as our New Orleans wedding photographer?
Reach out through our contact form to check availability. We strive to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours. We’ll then share pricing our pricing guide and schedule a quick video chat to meet and discuss your wedding weekend plans. After our call, we’ll share a customized proposal with you with photo coverage options that fit your day and vibe. Completing the proposal requires a 25% retainer and an e-signed contract to reserve your wedding date with us.
