Marissa and Matt’s wedding HAD. IT. ALL!
And it was an absolute blast to photograph. Beautifully chosen and styled details.
Candle lit tables and centerpieces. A first look and a New Orleans Second Line!
All topped off with a killer band making for so many super fun dance floor images!
This couple hired me for 7 hours of wedding day coverage and a wedding planner to keep everything on track.

Rae and Christian eloped at the Historic Park View Guest House surrounded by their closest friends and family.
After a bit of furniture rearranging, the Park View Guest House's first-floor parlor made for a beautiful, intimate backdrop for their short elopement ceremony. Beautifully written vows left the entire room looking for tissues. Once their ceremony was finished, the group posed for a couple quick, fun group photos and then I took the couple for a short walk near Audubon Park for a portrait session. The high July humidity didn't affect them one bit! Enjoy their images below, and leave some love in the comments for the couple!
The Cannery in Mid-City, New Orleans hosted one heck of a party for their 5-year anniversary. Check out a few of my favorite detail photos here then click the link to The Cannery to see the rest!
Bee's Wedding and Event Design knocked it out of the park on the decor for the party. Great color palette, trendy seating areas, and killer floral/table combinations!
I love The Cannery for their sleek, modern look, modular design, and giant bar. Also, it's pretty cool that they have a lighting system that can be customized to match and enhance any color palette. If you're looking for a wedding or reception venue outside of The French Quarter, with parking, and close proximity to the streetcar line, go tour The Cannery!
Mandy and John joined us in New Orleans on holiday for their May elopement.
So, I'm never going on vacation again. From now on, it's holiday!
Mandy and John have known each other for years and their connection is unmistakable. It was an absolute pleasure to be around them both. John mentioned that their timing throughout the years was never quite right. Whether it was other relationships, jobs, or life, it was always something. But their patience paid off when they both reconnected and found their happiness together.
Enjoy a few of the highlights from their 1-hour elopement at the Algiers Courthouse in New Orleans, La.
I had a blast photographing Bailee and Ryan's engagement session. We met in the Bywater near that big rusty pedestrian bridge and got to photographing not long after.
My engagement sessions are very chill. It's about you, the couple. I try my best to pull out your personalities while documenting your reactions to each other. Prompts like, "whisper her favorite dessert into her ear in your sexiest voice" is along the lines of what you should expect to hear from me before I activate my camera's shutter mechanism like a mad man.
It's quite obvious that Bailee and Ryan had a blast with each other on the shoot and got some really incredible, personal photographs out of it that they can treasure for the rest of their lives.
Now on to the images!
Oh also, Kelly Massicot over at Renaissance Publishing (New Orleans Bride, St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans Magazine) wrote a much more well written blog post about their images on the Let Them Eat Cake Wedding Blog on Myneworleans.com. Check out her word skills by clicking the link above.
